Farewell Singapore !

The last couple of weeks have been very busy with work and last few assignments as the semester comes to an end. But I got the chance to explore Singapore for one last time.I went to Sentosa Beach, which is a MAN-MADE beach, and spent the day there !!  I also went to Jurong island to see the one of the world's largest petroleum refineries. Although I would have loved to stay over the summer and visit other countries in the region, sadly its time to go back to reality. This experience has by far been one of the greatest. Its been a great opportunity.I have learn a lot about myself and I learned to appreciate other cultures. I would strongly recommend a visit to southeast Asia, it is a must !! I never imagined this experience to be like this and I definitely think Singapore is the perfect place for exchange !

INDIA IT IS !!

I've just got back from one of the most adventurous trips of my life. So a couple of exchange students and myself decided to go to India for recess week (aka reading week !). It turned out perfectly for us as we got a couple of more days because of the Chinese New Year. I really don't know where to start ! So we first landed in Mumbai, not knowing where we were going to stay, we accidentally booked a hostel online and it eventually turned out to be in the slums of Mumbai. We stayed there for one rather interesting night. In Mumbai , we got to see the gateway of India, the other slums of Mumbai ( besides the slums we stayed in for the night)where the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' was shot , the washing laundry, Gandhi's house, and the tower of silence. We then took a night bus to the beaches of Arambol in Goa. All I have to say is that I have never been more relaxed in my life. We then headed to see the historical part of India, Hampi! And I have to say that it was definitely the highlight of my time in India ! Enjoy the pics ! Till next time........

In LOVE !

I have definitely gained at least 5 kg ever since I landed in Singapore ! I have been eating 4 meals everyday. The food in Singapore is absolutely delicious. I have eaten all the types of food there is from Indian to Korean to Indonesian to Japanese..... you name it ! Not to mention, the freshly squeezed juice they have in all the canteens. They have any type of juice with any combination. Add on the fact that meals here are really cheap ! Besides that, Chinese New Year coming up........ cant waittt !!

Exploring Singapore!

The first couple of days in Singapore were great! Got to meet so many other exchange students from all over the world. A couple of exchange students and I went to explore Singapore. We visited the major landmarks in Singapore including Chinatown, the famous Buddha Temple, the Hwak Mall (which basically has all the possible southeastern cuisines you could think of) and the one and only Marina Bay Sands, which was absolutely phenomenal!! Unfortunately , we didn’t get the time to see everything. But, we still have 4 more months in Singaporeeee !!!!!!

Let the adventure begin......

So this is the blog that I will be using to post about my exchange experience in Singapore so stay TUNED!! This is officially my first day in Southeast Asia or to be more specific Singapore!! I just got settled in to my room, which at first seemed to be nice up until I realized that I didnt have air conditioning!! But besides that I am absolutely amazed by the Utown complex ( which is basically the building compound that I’m staying in).Apparently not having air-conditioning is not the worst thing, I still have a fan so lets just hope I can manage this humid weather without air conditioning. That’s all for now! Till next time……
